Project Manzil
Manzil, an Urdu word detonating “Destination”, is much more meaningful beyond its literal translation. One can embark on a journey, for example, without a destination in mind, where one simply wanders aimlessly. In order to create the next generation of young leaders, not only must they be on the right path; they must also be able to envision a positive future for themselves and others that is practical and spiritually enriching.

Project Manzil aims to create such a vision through purpose directed voluntary effort. Importantly, it connects individuals who are equipped with the right skills and attitude to make a difference by collaborating with smaller organizations. The Peace of Mind Foundation in Gujarat, India arranges this, as it is well-connected with the social environment of relevant beneficiaries. And it plans each and every project precisely in order to be effective.

It is a more in-depth and advanced approach compared with Project Aastha, having as a primary goal an intensive focus on the teaching of English, maths and IT in schools. Also, it involves being active in a teacher training initiative for teachers of English, and includes sports training and training in dance, drama and art. Health awareness training is yet another dimension of the work of Project Manzil.

Participation in Project Manzil requires a minimum of 1 week and extends to a maximum 3 weeks. It will take place in the months of January, February and November every year. To apply for this, kindly fill up the Join Us as a Volunteer form on the website.

It should be noted, too, that the Peace of Mind Foundation also welcomes suggestions for offering training or activities not previously planned. This is an opportunity for potential volunteers to indicate ways that they might help with, or contribute to, Project Manzil in their own unique ways.
